HARRISBURG – Former President Donald Trump returned to Pennsylvania for his first rally since an assassination attempt in Butler earlier this month. The event, held at Harrisburg’s Farm Show Complex, marked Trump’s second visit to the venue this year.

Opening his nearly hour-and-a-half-long speech, Trump addressed the assassination attempt, stating that he was fortunate to be alive. He honored Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who tragically died in the stands during the incident, and requested a moment of silence in his memory. Reflecting on the rally in Butler, Trump recalled how a chart he was presenting may have saved his life, as he turned to look at it just before the first shots were fired.

“I love that chart,” Trump remarked. “I’m going to sleep with that chart for the rest of my life.”

During his speech, Trump also announced plans to resume outdoor rallies. He then shifted focus to Vice President Kamala Harris, whom he described as a “puppet candidate” installed by the Democratic Party following President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out.

“Nothing will stop us, to Make America Great Again,” Trump concluded, reaffirming his commitment to his campaign slogan.

As the rally concluded, Trump left his supporters with a message of resilience and determination. His speech, marked by moments of reflection and fiery rhetoric, underscored his intention to remain a central figure in American politics. The crowd’s enthusiastic response suggested that, despite recent challenges, Trump’s base remains energized and ready to support his continued efforts. The rally served as a reminder of Trump’s enduring influence and the passionate loyalty of his supporters.
